sometimes lostI look around  
at all the lost ones  and I wonder if I  am like they are.   
I find fleeting bits  of happiness  that only last until  I get bored or discouraged.   
My current life  is just a distraction.  And when the novelty wears off,  I wind up lonely at the end of the day.   
There came a moment  
when I started to enjoy  
some small part of it,  started to feel like I belonged.   
But by then it was too late  because I had already decided  I was leaving it all  behind. sometimes lost

We used to be innocentYou appeared in a dream last night  And I relived the way I felt  Last time I saw you:       Ecstatic...but mildly embarrassed.   
You were always so flamboyant -       flaming, even.  I never minded, though,  Until that last meeting.   
You were too loose with your words       -and your appearance  You seemed thinner                    ...dirtier                    ...lost   
And in the dream,  
I wanted you to hug me,  But when you did,  I looked around to see who was watching.   
And then you were gone.  I looked everywhere for you We used to be innocent

Blues at Spanky's FiresideA couple danced awkward and puppetlike  
   in the background  As the raunchy blues musician     writhed on the floor.   
I stared into the disco ball     and tried to decide whether  
she sounded more like     Tina Turner or Janis Joplin.   
I  never did come to a conclusion     because she acted more like a stripper  Than a musician.     And I didn't want to watch anymore. Blues at Spanky's Fireside

using layers, the background layer i usually start with some brushing, and maybe some fitting filters

So tonight...Listening to: Dispatch - " Cover This"... Drinking: White Russian (alone)...and looking for more poetry to add to DA. I have this internet journal that I wrote a lot in, but I don't remember all the titles, ya know? Damn I made that drink strong. :drunk:

As you can all tell, I am new to Deviant Art. I like to draw...mostly nudes. The female form is easiest for me, maybe because I'm a girl, or maybe because they're smoother than the male body. Either way, that's what I'll post first, some drawings. I like photography, too, but haven't had a lot of time to take pictures in awhile. Oh, and sometimes I write poetry. :) So, I'd appreciate any comments you might have on my stuff. Thanks!
